Data To Be Collected Processes information related to the Human Resources and Financial Management lines of business Information about agency data assets (primarily databases) and interfaces with those databases Information about agency applications Information about the technology tools used to support agency applications Relationships of the collected information to the business of the agency 3

Enterprise Architecture Examples of Value Added
Process information can be used to identify collaboration opportunities and SOA development and sharing opportunities Inventory of development tools, creates opportunities to share expertise and lessons learned across the enterprise Database information will be used to meet the Library of Virginia’s database index requirements Creates a better picture of the business of the Commonwealth and how it is being supported by technology EA repository provides ability to look at the business of the Commonwealth from many angles 4

Complete pilots in April Complete agencies in May-early June EA Repository/agency reports by the end of June Analysis and reporting to the Commonwealth’s Information Technology Investment Board by the end of July 5
