TOT SPOT proposal
2
Proposal To create a dedicated childcare room that is safe and welcoming for parents and young children.
3
Background We currently use a room in the preschool on Sundays for childcare. The room is not set up for young toddler or infants (For example: No diaper changing table is available) To make the current space able to accommodate younger children, several toys must be stored and set up weekly The room has limited availability to use for childcare with the preschool schedule Although great efforts are made by both parties to accommodate childcare on Sunday, we are not able to shape it the way we want and it isn’t set up for children under two.
4
Purpose The main purpose of the Tot Spot is to attract families with young children and enable them to participate in worship, small groups, and special events. The Tot Spot would satisfy action items in three areas of The Strategic Plan: Create Opportunities for People to Connect and Belong, Develop a Thriving Family Ministry Effectively utilize the Facilities and Enhance the Appearance of the Campus However, childcare could also support two other initiatives: Service in Everything we do Create a meaningful worship environment
