Yersinia Pestis it what the overall name for it, However Bubonic is a type of Yersinia Pestis.
The Bubonic plague is also known as the black death, which had swiped over Europe killing millions of people during the middle ages.

Facts This way a human can get it is either by a rodent flea or by handling an animal that carries the virus. The symptoms can vary based on where in the world you live. 60% of Europe was killed by this.

Symptoms fever, headache, chills,
weakness and one or more swollen, tender and painful lymph nodes

Treatment treatable with commonly available antibiotics. The earlier a patient seeks medical care and receives treatment that is appropriate for plague, the better their chances are of a full recovery.

Prevention Reduce rodent habitat around your home,
Wear gloves if you are handling or skinning potentially infected animals Use repellent if you think you could be exposed to rodent fleas `Keep fleas off of your pets by applying flea control products. Do not allow dogs or cats that roam free in endemic areas to sleep on your bed.
