Dear Parents,
In this edition of the Dr. H.O. Smith Newsletter, we are sending home important dates of up and coming events along with other pertinent information. Winter recess is February 27th – March 3rd. Enjoy!

New Registrations Coming in March
Nurse’s corner
The New England winter is in full swing. Be sure your child is prepared for the weather. Please remember hats, gloves and boots and snow pants for recess time.
Remember that accidents can happen such as wet feet and falling in puddles or snow at recess. While these are not true health issues, the children come to the nurse for help. Having an extra set of clothing (especially socks) in a plastic bag in their backpack would be helpful.

New student registration evening will be held on Wednesday, March 22nd from 4-7 p.m. The New Student day registration will be held on Monday, March 27th from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Both sessions will be held at Library Street School. Please bring the following information with you.
. Proof of Residence (Purchase/Lease Agreement, Deed ,Tax Bill or Town Affidavit)
. Copy of child’s Birth Certificate
. Immunization Records
. Current Physical Exam
Any child that is currently a student at Library Street School or Dr. H.O. Smith School, does not need to register again. Please note you may choose to fill out the eight registration forms on-line. You will need to print and complete the forms and bring them with you to one of the registration days with the above information. Thank you.
