1 Teacher Slide This week students and teachers will learn how to use Office 365 Be prepared with more partnership building activities just incase lessons don’t take the entire 45 minutes. If you need some ideas see you Partner Teacher or Grade Level Seminar Lead for suggestions. But Please do so before seminar. Announcements:

Agenda: - Do Now - Office 365 Planners Exit Slip -Homework - time permitting Homework: Exit Ticket: Announcements Find your assigned seat and take out your planner… Last day for schedule changes -15th Career Center open for Personal Statement help starting Sept. 12th - Tues & Thurs 3:15-4:30 Do Now: Check out a computer by signing out your name and computer number. Log in using your student id and password. Wait for directions.

From the Tacoma Public Schools home page, click on “Students” in the top navigation bar

Select “Login to O365”

Student Username is their student ID# Password is the same used to login to a school computer

Your online file storage tool is OneDrive … look for the cloud!

Make a folder for seminar by clicking on “New” and …

Select “Folder”

Name your new folder so that it is easier for you and your teacher to find and identify it. [grade] Seminar – [Your Name] Example: Sophomore Seminar – John Doe

1. Click to the left of the folder name to select it 2. Click “Share” to choose who to share your portfolio with

Enter your teacher’s here and click “Send”. Allow teachers to view and edit so that they can provide comments and feedback.

Click on the folder name to open it

Use these commands to: Create separate folders for each portfolio task Create new files and documents Upload work from a USB drive or your WinHome

Teacher created Class notebook for seminar

18 Create and Setup a Class Notebook
From the Office 365 landing page, select Class Notebook.

19 Create and Setup a Class Notebook
From here you can create new notebooks, manage your current notebooks, and add/remove students and co-teachers from each class notebook

When you are setting up a new class notebook, plan how it will be setup: Naming convention (make it easier to find and identify) What other teacher(s) should have access to it What sections do you want students to have in their notebooks on Day 1

File folders for non-digital products & works in progress

Students who prefer to write drafts by hand Non-digital portfolio products (projects, college information, volunteer/community service verification, letters or recommendation, etc.) Students and classrooms with most limited access to technology
