ICT and CC Standardizations
Established 11 standards(TTAS) in 2012
• Assessment Framework for Environmental Impacts of the ICT Sector (TTAE.KO )
• Guidelines for Improvement of Standards in Green Data Centers (TTAK.KO /R1)
• A Method to Provide Recycling Information of Rare Metals in ICT Goods (TTAE.IT-L.1100)
Established 2 Korea Communications Standard(KCS) in 2012
• Guideline for Establishment of Green Data Center (KCS.KO )
• Developing 14 TTA standards such as Use cases and requirements for
Enterprise Mobile Cloud Service

IMT-Advanced
TTA PG701(IMT-Advanced)&PG702(IMT WiBro)’ participation in 1st revision process of ITU-R M.2012(LTE-Advanced&WirelessMan-Advanced)
Future IMT
In future IMT area, WRC-15 Agenda item 1.1 was adopted based on Resolution 233 of WRC-12 which is to consider additional spectrum allocations to the mobile service on a primary basis and identification of additional frequency bands for IMT
TTA TC7(Mobile Communication) is studying frequency bands above 6GHz to support the capacity and performance of future mobile IMT networks
According to the our channel measurement and analysis, mm-wave frequencies for IMT systems appear to be feasible to utilize over 200 meters even in outdoor NLoS environments

7. Highlight of Current Activities
M2M
TTA M2M PG established 10 standards such as M2M service requirements, M2M Security threats and requirements, M2M communication reference model, and B2B type Communication module for M2M
TTA is one of the founding partner of oneM2M(est.’12.7)
• TTA’s member was elected as Vice Chair of oneM2M Technical Plenary
(Chang Yong, Samsung Electronics)
• TTA have submitted 5 standards and 8 work items to oneM2M ‘pool specs’
TTA is also actively participating in relevant M2M international standardization activities such as Machine Type Communication in 3GPP

8. Highlight of Current Activities
Wireless Power Transmission (WPT)
TTA WPT PGs developed 10 domestic Standards/Reports such as WPT use case & service scenario, definition of efficiency, evaluation method, resonant WPT system and management for WPT
TTA is actively participating in related international standardization activities such as ITU-R SG 1, APT AWG, GSC, A4WP and etc.
Followings are work areas within TTA
• WPT applications and services of ICT appliances’ equipment standardization
• WPT of ICT appliances’ vehicles and mobile device standardization
• WPT technologies and measurements standardization to operate chips or cells
• Affects on human body

Mobile Electronic Receipt
Information security(TC5) under TTA approved ‘Specification of Mobile Electronic Receipts’ in December 2012
• Energy-saving technology : Green ICT by mobile device
• Specifications : service scenario, data record format, requirements for issuing as
electronic receipt

10. Next Steps/Actions • Mobile Cloud Computing Services(1)
Cloud Computing PG will mainly focus on establishing standards in following areas by 2013
• Mobile Cloud Computing Services(1)
• Open Cloud Computing(3)
• Personal Cloud Computing Service(1)
ICT & Climate Change
Establishing 6 standards including “Emergency Management framework of Network Equipment” in 2013
Strengthen Collaboration of Asia Region(CJK, ASTAP)
Support of International standardization activities
• Domestic collaboration for standardization of ITU-R, ITU-T, ISO/IEC JTC1. and IEC

11. Next Steps/Actions M2M IMT-Advanced & Future IMT
Regarding new frequency for Future IMT, TTA would closely cooperate with external organizations(CJK, APT, etc.)
TTA TC7 would focus on the standardization of LTE-Railway systems, small cell technologies, etc.
M2M
TTA will host oneM2M Technical Plenary #5 in Korea from June 17th to 21th
Follow-up on TTA specifications in the ‘pool specs’ to be applied toward oneM2M initial release of specifications
TTA will organize a satellite M2M event to increase industry and vertical participation to M2M international standardization

12. Next Steps/Actions WPT
WPT will actively participate in related international standardization activities such as ITU-R SG 1, APT AWG, CJK and GSC for the collaboration and interoperability on WPT
Particularly, in this year TTA will review international specifications of WPC, A4WP, etc. for adoptions as TTA Standards
Also, TTA will revise management and control protocol on WPT accommodating multiple power source from different technologies method for example resonance and inductive WPT
