It is a commensal flora of human intestines (about 2-5%)
BUT still has pathogenicity;
Enterotoxin A and Cytotoxin B- these target the Rho family of GTPase’s
Extremely anti-biotic resistant
The genome consists of a circular chromosome of 4,290,252 bp with a G+C content of 29.06%, and a circular plasmid of 7,881 bp with a G+C content of 27.9%.
