Professionalism Appearance Conversation Body Language
When communicating to outside organizations, advisors, anything that goes on record* (*everything goes on record in the sense that someone will remember it so always be polite) in the real work world it is important to be professional. Being professional makes you stand out amongst coworkers and you are more likely to be thought of for a potential job higher up. Appearance: what everyone’s wearing today! Not ripped jeans, super deep cut shirts, etc. Conversation: pay attention/listen, pronounce words clearly, speak up, do not ramble or mumble Body language: face the person, don’t fidget Make it look like you wanna be there (even if you don’t! Fake it til you make it)
