12. ATTENTION BASKETBALL PLAYERS
“Open Season” basketball practice begins on Saturday, Sept. 7th from 10 am – 12 pm at GHS. All returning players and new prospects who are NOT currently playing a fall sport can participate. You must have a current physical on file along with a concussion form, NO EXCEPTIONS. See Coach Stevens or Mrs. Miller for additional information.

Show your school spirit each Friday and support our Greenwood Eagles! The Varsity and Junior Varsity Cheerleaders will be selling “Spirit Ribbons” every Friday for $.50.

15. PSAT
PSAT Test Date is Wednesday, October 16th Interested students in the 10th and 11th grade must sign up and pay test fee to Mrs. Irby by Friday, September 20th. Cost is $14.00 (non-refundable) *Juniors MUST take the test to enter the National Merit Scholarship competition for college scholarships for 2015.

17. Cell Phone Policy Cell phones must be put away at 8:30.
Students may use their cell phones during their designated lunch period in these areas only:
cafeteria, fishbowl, and on the blacktop.
Cell phones may be used after 3:30.

Our first PTSO meeting is Monday, September 9th at 6:00 pm in the auditorium. Following the brief meeting your parents will be able to meet your teachers.

Students are reminded that all pants are to be worn at the hips. Zip ties will be provided to all students wearing pants below the hips and you will get a disciplinary referral.
