How to make your sherbet
1. Sit the ingredients on a bench and gently pour each amount of the food ingredients into the same at a time. 2. Each time you pour in an ingredient take a pinch of it and see what it tastes like. Some will be sour and some will taste nice. 3. Now mix it all up and taste it all together and you have tasted your sherbet.

Explanation The sherbet’s sour taste comes from the baking soda, tartaric acid and citric acid. The marvellous taste comes from the icing sugar and powdered cordial. Can you compare its taste with something? The fizzing and foaming only does that because the saliva in your mouth makes the ingredients bubble, therefore the sherbet fizzy and nice tasting. Too much makes you feel sick.
