1 Who am I? By: Elissa Aoun

2 I major in Basic Education
I am Lebanese I am 19 years old I major in Basic Education I have a quiet big family I have some few hobbies

3 I was born on the 25th of September 1997, and I was raised in a family of 4 members: my father, my mother, my brother, and I. Yet, the concept of a family in Lebanon is way bigger than the four member that I mentioned! My bigger family consists of grandparents, aunts and uncles with all their husbands, wives, and children. We unite all together in a frequent manner especially on Sundays.

4 My origin is from “Al Ayshiya” which is a village in the South of Lebanon far from Beirut, the Capital, around an hour and a half by car. I live in “Beit El Kikko” in Mount Lebanon which is 700m high. The village is full of life, especially during summer days where all the villagers meet up: play sports in the village’s playground, and meet in religious activities.

5 Hanging out with friends
Hobbies Cross Knitting Hanging out with friends Some good qualities Adventurous Friendly Some bad qualities Nosy Moody

6 Lebanon I am a patriotic person. I love my country, and I enjoy wandering through its streets. Lebanon is known for its touristic places and the tasty Lebanese food! The Lebanese food is my favorite kind of food, and it is diverse: Taboule, Hommus, Raw Meat and many others.

7 My favorite places in Lebanon:
Beirut, the Capital Saint Maroun Monastry Jeita Grotto

8 Why I chose Basic Education?
From the age of 15, I started working with kids in a religious organization. I realized that I have a passion when working with them. Thus, I decided that my future job will be something related to kids. Nowadays, I am responsible of a group of teenage pupils, and I tutor children as a part time job.

9 Notre Dame University- Loauize
I am pursuing my Bachelor in Basic Education in Notre Dame University which has three campuses around Lebanon. I study in the main campus which is located in “Zouk Mosbeh” around half an hour away from Beirut.

10 Memorable Moments in my life:
Being my aunt’s bride’s maid The birth of my cousin: Gabrielle Passing the Lebanese Official Exams Graduating from School Having the opportunity to spend 1 semester at Copenhagen.

11 Spending this semester as an exchange student at UCC is a one of a kind chance. I am looking forward for this experience and I hope to come back to Lebanon holding a lot of beautiful memories about Denmark. My journey in Denmark has just began, and it can’t get any better. I have been here for around 3 weeks, and I have already enjoyed life here, and started making friends from all around the world!
