Blood Pressure Digital Monitor Alcohol Wipes: cleans the stethoscope

Measurement Procedures
Seated in a quiet room Bend arm to bring the elbow to heart level Brachial artery at the inner side of the upper arm, 1 inch above the bend in the elbow Wrap the cuff around the upper arm. Align the arrows on the cuff with the brachial artery.

5. Place the stethoscope bell below the cuff over the brachial artery
The connecting tube should be exiting the cuff toward the arm. Inflate the cuff with quick even pumps to 180 – 200 mm Hg Gradually release the cuff slowly.

Note the 1st sound. This is the systolic number
Note when the sound becomes muffled and when the sound disappears. This is the diastolic number.
