2. OOPS! The customer was in the attic, misstepped, and fell though the ceiling.

3. I cut out all damaged material, installed screw backers on the left, reinstalled insulation & cleared joists of nails and debris.

4. Installed drywall from one piece to minimize the number of seams
Installed drywall from one piece to minimize the number of seams. The joints with more than 1/8” clearance will need to be pre-filled before taping.

5. Taped, skimmed 3 coats, and ready to sand
Taped, skimmed 3 coats, and ready to sand. Use paper joint tape- throw the mesh-style away, it may crack through later.

6. Sanded, primed, & painted
