RENEWABLE ENERGY SOURCES
3
üThe sources which doesnt run out of itself such as sun, wind, and water, and are used for production of other energy sources are called as renewable energy sources. üThe rising pices of crude oil, and natural gas with the developing technology and their negative effects on nature, and the reality that these energy sources will sum up one day makes the renewable energy sources more importent. üCurrently, developed or developing countries give priority to use the differetn energy sources within their owm passibilities.
4
What are the Renewable Energy Sources?
ØSUN ENERGY: üThe sunlights which are reached to the world are collected by the sun collectors and are transformed into caloric and electric.
5
Usage: The electronic devices such as watch or calculator which is worked with sun energy. The sun collectors which provides hot water or heating installation in the cities and villages. Advantages: Disharmful for the nature and consistent and renewable. These qualities makes it attractive. Disadvantages: To get electrical energy from sun energy is not economical, difficulties in stocking the supplied energy, to put the solar panel to the wide areas. This are the disadvantages.
6
WIND ENERGY: Sun energy is the source of wind energy. The wind turbines which are founded at the places where wind is intense, transforms the kinetical energy if wind to mechanical energy and then electrical energy.
7
Usage: It is used for electric production, water storage, refrigerate and communication. Advantages: It is a clean and nonconsumable energy source. Disadvantages: It causes noise and visual pollution. It is expensive. It causes the death of the birds. It destroys the waves of the communication devices.
8
HYDROELECTRİC ENERGY This is a kind of energy, which transforms the potential power of water to kinetical energy and then to electric energy. These are renewable and clean energy sources.
9
Usage: These are used in prodiction of energy, developing the fishing and watering. Advantages: Natural source and inseperate. Disadvantages: Long time to build, expensive and depended on the rainfall.
10
GEOTHERMAL ENERGY Rain and snow waters reaches to magma seams from the earth crust cracked. The waters, which is warmed in magma seams, reaches to earth’s surface as hot water resource and stream. This water is transformed into other energy sources with the help of tribune.
11
Usage: It is transformed into electric energy with the founded electric santrals. It is also used in heating and cooling systems, physiotherapy and touristic places. Advantages: Nature friend energy, economical and ready to use. Disadvantages: Relaeses harmful gases in the places which emerges, and causes to fast decay of the used installment.
12
HYDROGEN ENERGY Its usage is not common since it is hard to produce in our day. But it is applicant to provide energy for the world as a clean energy source.
13
Usage: Produces electric, heat and fuel cell
Usage: Produces electric, heat and fuel cell. Advantages: Hydrogen is a simple element which is founded in the world in the must expend. It does not pollute evironment with harmful gases. It is the most efficent energy source. Disadvantages: It is founded as compound in the nature. So, to be able to get it another energy source must be used. So it is on expensive process.
14
BIOMASS ENERGY This is to benefit from organic materials. This is the most used energy kind in the backword societies. On the other hand the new methods which produces biodisel, biotermal from the plants are called modern biomass and is included in renewable energy sourcess.
15
It doesnt pollute the environment
It doesnt pollute the environment. But It its efficiency is low, destroys the ecosystem, and causes erosion and causes to diminish the green vegetation.
16
OCEAN ENERGY Two kinds of energy is get from the oceans; a. Wave energy: It is benefited from the energies of the waves in the massive waters such as ocean and sea. b. Tide energy: It is the transformation of kinetic and/or potential energy, which the watermass has as a result of tide or ocean flaws, to electric energy.
17
It doesnt have any harmful effect to It the environment
It doesnt have any harmful effect to It the environment. It is a permanent energy source, but expensive. It destroys the shores and effects the places on the share, tourism, fishing and sea transportation, negatively.
18
QUESTIONS üWhy the usages of mentioner energy sources are restricted in worldwid? üWhat kind of situation is waiting for the world in the future as a result of rare use of these sources? üWhat kind of effects are importent in the usage of these sources? üWhich country is in the first in usage of these sources, according to you? üWhat about the one, who uses the least? üHow can we increase the usage of these sources in order to leave a better place for the future generations?
