4. Northwest Area Coordinator
A primary function of WECC is to create system models that are used for the planning and operation of the power grid
11 models per year
WECC depends on “Area Coordinators” to develop portions of the overall WECC model.
ColumbiaGrid officially began performing this function for the Northwest area on March 5, 2010
Previously performed by BPA
BPA’s residual role ended on August 6 with the approval and posting of the final case that they had started
WECC Base Case Coordination System to be implemented in 2012 will likely change the role of Area Coordinators

CG web conferences with sub area coordinator participation

Post updated data under the System Assessment website
