Retropharyngeal Abscess
Retropharyngeal Abscess. This ill-appearing 6-year-old child presented with a several-day history of fever, neck pain, sore throat, cough, and headache. Soft tissue lateral radiography of the neck showed thickened prevertebral tissues opposite C2 to C4. CT showed the airway narrowed to a width of 5 mm within the oropharynx.
