2004: The Working Group on Environmental Indicators (WGEI) is established and the first indicators framework for monitoring ILAC targets is defined (38 indicators)
SEMARNAT (Mexico) assumes the presidency of the WGEI

More than 20 country reports published, national information systems implemented
