Presentations Each group had about 15 minutes to present and collect feedback on their performance from the class and the teacher. They had previously had a chance to discuss the organisation of their mini- lessons with their teacher Marks were awarded for their materials and their oral performance and the level of interaction with their audience

Presentations As there was no overlap in content, students were not bored The focus was on the interactive element, so they all tried to involve the audience in different ways: some with quizzes, other with questions given before, during or after their talks After each presentation there was a short discussion about strengths and weaknesses and students were given the chance to improve their materials before they were given their final mark

Was it worth it? We ended up with 2 poster and 4 PowerPoint presentations about 25 attractions from our country The students became more confident in presenting in front of an audience They learned from each other’s mistakes and are now better both at speaking in public and making interactive presentations The presentations themselves can be useful in teaching similar lessons to other students
