In the classroom this week
Math: This week in Math we will be taking a test on distributive and commutative property with using a letter for the unknown. We will also being learning how to use different strategies to solve multiplication problems.
ELA: This week in ELA we will continue reviewing context clues and vocabulary in context. We will also finish reading Survival Swamp and take a reading task on it.
Social Studies: This week in Science we will begin our two week unit on Key Events. People, and Ideas. We will be discussing the difference between oral history, written history, visual history, and music history. We will talk about Louisiana customs and traditions, primary and secondary sources, and the Civil War.
Tinney Times
As of this morning, our class has 589.2ARP points. I am so proud of how well the class is doing with ARP. There is no doubt in my mind that we will exceed our class goal of 1500 points.
Thank you to everyone who donated New Orleans themed items for our Fall Fest Basket. We have an abundance of items to fill it up along with a $65 gift card to Today’s Catch.
If you have not bought raffle tickets you still have time!
We are still collecting 2 liters and whole pickles for the Fall Fest.
If you have not yet bought tickets for the Fall Fest, please do so before this Friday. The kids cannot play games without these tickets.
Reminder: IXL Extra Credit has been being sent home every week. Please have your child complete the assigned sections and initial next to it in order for them to receive an extra A in each subject.
The students can also earn extra credit in ELA by reaching their assigned about of time on Lexia each week.
