On hearing it, many of his disciples said, “This is hard teaching. Who can accept it?”
Aware that his disciples were grumbling about this, Jesus said to them, “Does this offend you?”
From this time many of his disciples turned back and no longer followed him.

Read John 6: Are there things Jesus said or did that offend you or that used to offend you? Explain.

When has following Jesus been inconvenient, embarrassing, or costly for you? What did you do?
Is transition, trouble, or temptation currently getting in the way of your ability to follow Jesus? What can this group do to support you?

16. Moving Forward Salvation is free
Transition, temptation, and trouble always create questions
Where’s God?
Why would God allow this to happen?
Why didn’t God come through for me?
It’s okay to ask questions
But it’s a mistake to step away from Jesus because of questions
Ask yourself this question. “To whom shall I go?”
Salvation is free
Following Jesus will cost you something
But refusing to follow Jesus could cost you everything
