Jesus said to them, “Very truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.” John 6:53-54 NIV On hearing it, many of his disciples said, “This is hard teaching. Who can accept it?” Aware that his disciples were grumbling about this, Jesus said to them, “Does this offend you?” From this time many of his disciples turned back and no longer followed him. John 6:60-61, 66 NIV

Table Talk – Session 1 Talk about a time when you were embarrassed by a friend or family member. How did you respond? Read John 6: Are there things Jesus said or did that offend you or that used to offend you? Explain. In the video, Andy said, “Questions are important because considering options always brings clarity.” Do you agree? Why or why not?
14
Table Talk – Session 2 Talk about a major transition in your life. How did that event affect your faith? When has following Jesus been inconvenient, embarrassing, or costly for you? What did you do? Is transition, trouble, or temptation currently getting in the way of your ability to follow Jesus? What can this group do to support you?
15
Session 8 – Unfollow Who would you follow?
“You do not want to leave too, do you?” Jesus asked the Twelve. John 6:67 NIV Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. We have come to believe and to know that you are the Holy One of God.” John 6:68-69 NIV Who would you follow?

Moving Forward Salvation is free
Transition, temptation, and trouble always create questions Where’s God? Why would God allow this to happen? Why didn’t God come through for me? It’s okay to ask questions But it’s a mistake to step away from Jesus because of questions Ask yourself this question. “To whom shall I go?” Salvation is free Following Jesus will cost you something But refusing to follow Jesus could cost you everything
