There, they tested more than 3,000 designs for bulbs between the years of 1878 and 1880
In November, the year of 1879, Edison filled a patent for an electric lamp with a carbon filament.

You can visit Thomas Edison’s home and lab in Menlo Park, New Jersey.
You can get there by car but plane would be the most efficient if you live near or on the west coast.
