2. Triangles in African Art
Triangles are used a lot for ears and noses, and also in face shapes. Triangles are used mainly in masks but may also be in some paintings.

3. Triangles in Abstract Art
The painting to the left has lots of triangles and concentric circles. The shapes are very sharp looking. In the painting to the right, there are lots of circles and a few triangles, and is overall a lot rounder-looking. The shapes in a painting can help convey a theme or emotion that the artist has in mind. For example, the painting on the left feels very exciting and loud, while the painting on the right is soft, calm, and quiet. Lots of abstract art has circles, triangles, and rectangles in it.
