Subject Intervention English Wave 1 in the classroom focusing on boys learning, particularly PP. Wave 2 – intervention with English student, focusing on boys 2 x small group reading intervention with DWT and PWD Maths Wave 1 in the classroom focusing on girls learning. Wave 2 Passport Maths with an aim to move pupils to a level 4b. Science Wave 1 intervention focusing on 12 pupils who are more than a level away from target. All subjects Ignite programme for pupils underachieving in more than 2 subjects, with the aim of increasing self-confidence, developing collaborative learning, and improving social skills.

13 Attendance Attendance is going from strength to strength As of 12/01/2016 Sub 85% = 7 students( 1.7%) with 3 PP Sub 90% = 28 Students ( 6.9%) with 14 PP Sub 92% = 53 Students ( 13%) with 21 PP Compared with 25/11/15 Sub 85% = 12 Students ( 2.95%)with 6PP Sub 90% = 40 Students ( 9.87%) with 20PP Sub 92%= 62 Students ( 15.3%) with 25 PP The current position is very much one of strength and consolidation. Daily absences are in the main outside the targeted concern areas leading us to be confident that absence is in the higher attendance areas i.e 94% and over. This is supported by the reduction in all targeted areas from 92% and under and the reducing number of Pupil Premium students.

Year 7 have read and successfully quizzed on 2197 books during their first term at Horizon. PP Pupils have read and successfully quizzed on a total of 670 books during their first term at Horizon. 13 pupils with an EHCP have read and successfully quizzed on a total of 58 books during there first term at Horizon. This equates to 48,968,994 words read by Year 7 as a whole. 11,428,134 of these words being read by PP Pupils. 279, 659 of the total words read by the 13 pupils with an EHCP. 108 pupils with RA< 9.06
