When And Where does The Festival Take Place?
Valentine's Day takes place in Britain. It's celebrated on February 14th with gaiety, enthusiasm and charm.

The Origin Of The Festival :
Traditionaly, spring begins on St Valentine's Day, the day when birds choose their mates. This day was called « The bird Wedding Day ».

Some people express their love to their spouse or their lover in offering Valentine's cards,presenti ng flowers or confectionery

Funny Facts About The Festival
They are many other traditions associated with romance activities on Valentine's day including: -The first man an unmarried woman saw on February14th would be her future husband. -In the Middle Ages, young men and women drew names from a bowl to see who their Valentines would be.

In Wales wooden love spoons were carved and given as gifts on February 14th. Hearts, keys and keyholes were favourite decorations on the spoons. The decoration meant, "You unlock my heart !"
