2. Global Studies and Geography II
This course focuses on the history of the world from the French Revolution through to the present.
This is the second year of the Global History curriculum. The course will be will end with the Global History and Geography Regents exam in June. This regents exam will cover material covered during this year and from Global I.

3. The Regents You must pass this regents in order to graduate.
Covers 2 years of material from both Global I and Global II
50 multiple choice questions
You are required to write 2 essays
Thematic essay
DBQ essay

Tests= 45%
Quizzes= 30%
Homework/Classwork= 25%

The primary purpose of Social Studies is to help people develop the ability to make informed and reasoned decisions for the public good as citizens of a democratic society in an interdependent world.

Students are expected to copy the Focus and answer the DO Now questions upon entering the classroom.
Students are expected to complete the closure task at the end of class
Worksheets will be collected on a regular basis and count as a classwork grade
