2 Contents Prime factorization Prime number Composite number Factor
multiples

3 Prime Factorization Prime Factorization is like a tree and it is also called factor tree Prime Factorization split into two numbers It split into two numbers until the numbers are prime If the numbers are composite it still divides into prime

4 Example

5 Example

6 Prime Prime is a number that could be times by 1 and itself
Prime numbers are usually odd numbers Prime numbers are opposite of composite 3 is a prime because 3 can only go with 1 and itself

7 Composite Composite numbers could times more than 1 and itself
Examples 12 is a composite numbers because it could go with 3,4,1,12,2,6 Composite numbers is the opposite of prime

8 Factors Factor are like multiplication
Here is a example, 4*5 = 20, so the 5 and 4 are factors of 20. There another way of defining a factor is a number that goes evenly into the number you're factoring. ( Factor is using the distributive property to insert parentheses is called factor.

9 Multiples Multiples is a number are the whole number products resulting when that number is a factor Multiples is a number when number are equaling to another number Multiples is similar to factor
