What we have learned. We have learned about ponds in a miniature version. We have learned about the inhabitants in the pond. By using a microscope we were able to find living organisms big and small. We also now know that ponds change over time.
3
Question What changes will we see in our ponds at different time periods (3 weeks, 6 weeks, weeks)

Megan’s Hypotheses Andrea’s Hypotheses Hypotheses: At three weeks I think their will be more life, lemna will grow, and murky water. At six weeks I think there will be more life, lemna will grow, and murky water. At ten to twelve weeks I think there will be more life, lemna will grow, and murky water. Hypotheses: At three weeks I think the water will go down, the top will almost be clear, and the dirt will still be in water floating around. At six weeks I think the water will get murky, the hay will start to dissolve, and the fronds will multiply. At ten to twelve weeks the water will be green on top, the leaves will be mushy, and there will be a lot of life.

How correct was our Hypotheses??
Megan’s: For week three I was right and wrong. There was more life, the lemna did not grow, and the water did get murkier. For six weeks I was right and wrong again. There was more life, the lemna did not grow, and the water definitely got murkier. For week twelve I was more wrong then right. There was not more life, there were hardly any lemna, and there was hardly any water in the cup that was murky. Andrea’s: For week three I was mostly right and a little bit wrong. I was right about the water going down, and the dirt will still be floating around in the water. I was wrong about the top being clear. For week six I was right and wrong. I was right about the water getting murky, and the hay starting to dissolve. I was wrong about the fronds multiplying. For week twelve I was mostly wrong. I was right about the more life. I was wrong about the water having a green top and the leaves being mushy.

Our Little Ponds Comparing to larger ponds: They both have life.
They both get murky water. They both have lemna. Contrasting to larger ponds: The larger pond has bigger life. (ex: turtles, fish.) The smaller ponds are not as clear as the larger ponds.
