2 The old times ;) In the past, Christmas Eve was a very serious nature. She was fasting feast associated with the spirits of their ancestors. Dividing the wafer and mutual wishes mean that you can sit down at the common table. One place always was left free for the spirit of the ancestors. During supper tried to not to offend the soul, because it was believed that it has a huge impact on the household and family health.

3 Christmas Tree In many cultures and religions of the tree, especially conifers is a symbol of life. In Polish culture and other countries dressing the Christmas tree is a tradition. The whole tree is dressed with colorful baubles and lights flashing.

4 Carolers ;) Carolers - in the tradition of the Polish people dressed that during the Christmas walk from village to village, from house to house with the wishes of prosperity in the New Year.

5 „Silence of the night” Among the night's silence voice goes: Rise shepherds, God is born to you; How quickly you ' rushed to Bethlehem to welcome the Lord. 6 Sharing the wafer The tradition of sharing of the wafer is in our culture almost always. It is a sign of peace, love and forgiveness of all the worldly wines.

7 Twelve dishes Christmas on the table should be 12 dishes. It is a custom handed down from generation to generation the most. Most dishes are more popular: 1.karp 2.pierogi with cabbage and mushrooms 3.Fish the Greek 4.Fish in vinegar 5.Sledzie in oil 6.Sledzie in cream 7.Sledzie the sułtańsku 8.Salad Herring 9.Barszcz red with dumplings 10.Kapusta with mushrooms and noodles with cabbage 11.Soup depending on the region: fish, mushroom, fruit, or dried fruit compote. 12.makaron with poppy seeds

8 Gifts :D Children write a letter before Christmas to St. Santa Claus asking it to do things. After eating fast food parent distract children from the tree, leading to another room. This pulls the other parent gets called gifts of the closet and put them under the Christmas tree. Children immediately overjoyed looking under the tree Christmas gifts for each other;)

9 Shepherdess The solemn mass celebrated at night (usually at midnight) from 24 to 25 December, the first Christmas. Midnight marks the expectation and prayer aimed shepherds to Bethlehem. In Poland, is one of the most important Christmas tradition.
