2 The Boston Tea Party An incident that occurred before the American Revolutionary War. American colonists in Boston boarded English ships and dumped tea into Boston’s Harbor to protest the English tax on tea.

3 The Boston Tea Party Why?
The “Party” was a result of opposition to the Tea Act of This act charged a tax on imported tea to the colonies. The colonies were upset because England was making decisions for them without representation from the colonists.
