5 14.3.1.2.2 Nontraditional Courses – NCAA ELIGIBILITY CENTER. [#]
Courses taught via the Internet, distance-learning, independent-study, individualized-instruction, correspondence and courses taught by similar means, may be used to satisfy NCAA core-course requirements, if all of the following conditions are satisfied: (Revised: 1/11/00 effective 8/1/00 for those student-athletes first entering a collegiate institution on or after 8/1/00, 1/14/12) (a) The course meets all requirements for a core course as defined in Bylaw  ; (b) The instructor and the student have ongoing access to one another for purposes of teaching, evaluating and providing assistance to the student throughout the duration of the course; (Revised: 1/15/11 effective 8/1/11 for student-athletes initially enrolling full time in a collegiate institution on or after 8/1/11) (c) The instructor and the student have regular interaction with one another for purposes of teaching, evaluating and providing assistance to the student throughout the duration of the course; (Adopted: 1/15/11 effective 8/1/11 for student-athletes initially enrolling full time in a collegiate institution on or after 8/1/11) (d) The student's work (e.g., exams, papers, assignments) is available for evaluation and validation; (Adopted: 1/15/11 effective 8/1/11 for student-athletes initially enrolling full time in a collegiate institution on or after 8/1/11) (e) Evaluation of the student's work is conducted by the appropriate academic authorities in accordance with the high school's established academic policies; (f) The course includes a defined time period for completion; and (Adopted: 1/15/11 effective 8/1/11 for student-athletes initially enrolling full time in a collegiate institution on or after 8/1/11) (g) The course is acceptable for any student and is placed on the high school transcript

6 D1 Specific Rules 10/7/7 Rule before the start of your senior year of school 1 core course make up before college enrollment after your HS class has graduated – No Athletic Aid Academic Red-Shirt Sliding Scale for Qualifiers and Non – Qualifiers Non - Qualifiers only 3 years of Eligibility Have up until Full time enrollment for the ACT/SAT

This is the last year of 2.00 & 68ACT/820 SUM SCORE or 900 SAT SUM starts Sliding Scale for Qualifiers and Partial – Qualifiers that is different from NCAA D1 Non - Qualifiers only 4 years of Eligibility All Sports can have 1 tryout if that student athlete is not in season, has a physical and sickle cell documentation D2 Specific Rules

10 SPECIAL THINGS ABOUT D2 All Prospective Student Athletes can have 1 tryout in their sport Middle School and High Schools can rent and use our athletic facilities D2 = Second Chance – NCAA D2 has several rules giving a student athlete a second chance at graduating from college while participating in Sports
