First discovered in Michigan in This pest has now spread into Ohio (2003), Indiana (2004), Illinois, Maryland (2006), Pennsylvania, West Virginia (2007), Missouri, Virginia, Wisconsin (2008), Kentucky, Minnesota, New York (2009), Iowa, Tennessee (2010), Connecticut, Kansas and Massachusetts (2012).
Firewood and nursery stock have the greatest impact for moving this pest long distances. Quarantines are in place in the infested states. 
Bright, slender metallic green, ½ inch long (about the size of Lincoln on a penny)
