5. Majority of this class focuses on the organ system level
BUT to understand how organs work we need to understand the microscopic anatomy & chemical reactions which occur at that level.

6. To better understand the organ systems we dissect a fetal pig
Each team receives a pig that will be dissected throughout the year.
Each dissection is unit specific.

7. Dissection Process Dissections student centered: learn and explore.
Teams receive a guiding worksheet.
The team reads and works together to complete the lab. This may include:
Problem solving
Brainstorming
Research in a text/lab book
Asking the teacher for guidance, not answers.
