2 Background Calyampudi Radhakrishna Rao
September 10, 1920 in Huvanna Hadagali C.D. Naidu and Lakshmikantamma 8th child of 6 brothers and 4 sisters Indian God name C.R. Rao’s full name is Calyampudi Radhakrishna Rao. He was born on Septmeber 10, 1920 in Huvanna, Hadagali. His parents were C.D. Naidu and Lakshmikantamma. He had 6 brothers and 4 sisters and he was born the eigth child. The indian god, Radhakrishna was also the 8th child so Rao was named after the God.

3 Education He studied in Degrees at Gudur Nuzvid Nandigama
Visakhapatnam Degrees at Andhra University in Waltair, Andhra Pradesh (Mathematics) Calcutta University in Kolkata, West Bengal (Statistics) He studied in places in India such as gudder, nuzzvid, nanDgama, viiisuck-A-putnum He received his degree in mathematics at Andhra University and received his degree in statistics at calcutta university. Both of these universities are in India. Since 1967, he has received 27 honorary doctoral degrees from colleges and universities in 16 countries on 5 different continents, including 7 degrees from India and 4 from the United States.

2 Masters Degrees, 1 Bachelor’s Degree Children Tejaswani Veerendra Rao married Bhargavi. His wife was also well acccomplished like him. She received two masters degree. Her first was from Banaras Hindu University in History and another from the University of Illinois, USA, in Psychology, and a Bachelor’s degree in Teacher’s Training. She taught psychology at Jadavpur University, Kolkata for many years. They had two kids, a daughter Tejaswani.  She has a Ph.D. in Nutrition from the Pennsylvania State University and works as a Professor in the Dietetics and Nutrition department at the SUNY College, Buffalo. Their son is an electrical engineer and computer scientist nad has a computer consultancy.

Cramer-Rao Bound Rao-Blackwellization His tests led to contributions Technical terms such as, Cramer-Rao inequality, Rao-Blackwellization, Rao’s Score Test, Fisher-Rao and Rao Theorems on second order efficiency of an estimator, Rao’s metric and distance Analysis of Dispersion (MANOVA) and Canonical Variate analysis and G-inverse of matrices His most well known discoveris are the Cramer-Rao bound and the Rao-Blackweillization that is used in estimation. His tests led to contributions in many things such as strategic significance to signal detection.
