2. About Me Name: Karen Lee Years at IMS: 30
Have taught: Chorus, Language Arts, Challenge, Study Hall, Study Skills, PAWS, and PWR, and 6th Grade Beginning Leadership
Education: Pacific Lutheran University, Bachelor of Arts (Music and English); University of Washington, Master’s degree
Parent to Erica, a sophomore studying music at PLU
Hobbies: Spending time with family and friends, reading, writing, singing, playing the piano, photography, scrapbooking, and I enjoy vacations with sun and water!

3. Goals and Curriculum
Study Hall allows students the opportunity to set daily goals and complete some of their homework at school.
Our class will also work together this trimester to learn and practice several important study tools, including learning styles, listening skills, note taking, organization, goal-setting, memorization strategies, and test-taking tips.

6. Grading Weekly Goal Sheets (50 pts. per week)
Setting specific goals and working on achieving them during class time
In addition:
Involvement in class activities is positive and helps with learning (includes teacher feedback and student self-reflection)
Students are on-task while learning & practicing study skills assignments and when working on homework (I will also monitor progress in students’ other classes
to help them focus on any missing assignments.)
