METRO DENVER: Denver PD/FD/Amb use an analog EDACS trunk with a special ESK control channel, and require a GRE PSR-500/600/700/800, Radio Shack PRO-106/197/107/108/651/652/668, Uniden BC-396/996 w/CPU upgrade 3.x, BCD436/536, or some Whistler models. Lakewood, W Metro Fire, Arvada, Wheat Ridge, and Westminster are P25 digital, like the DTRS. Aurora PD, Arvada PD, Westminster PD, Ft Collins PD, and Estes Park PD, are now encrypted, and cannot be monitored! Longmont PD is encrypted (except dispatch) DIA, and Denver Public Works use an analog EDACS trunk, and can be monitored with an analog trunking scanner, but this may change.
