5 ACTION POTENTIAL In physiology, an action potential occurs when the membrane potential of a specific axon location rapidly rises and falls ; this depolarisation then causes adjacent locations to similarly depolarise.

16 TRANSMISSION THROUGH ELECTRICAL SYNAPSE

17 EPP AND MEPP End plate potentials (EPPs) are the depolarizations of skeletal muscle fibers caused by neurotransmitters binding to the postsynaptic membrane in the neuromuscular junction. They are called "end plates" because the postsynaptic terminals of muscle fibers have a large, saucer-like appearance. Acetylcholine is released in bursts, or quanta. A single quantum causes only a slight depolarization, called a miniature end-plate potential (MEPP).

18 NEURO MUSCULAR JUNCTION
A neuromuscular junction (or myoneural junction) is a chemical synapse formed by the contact between a motor neuron and a muscle fiber. It is at theneuromuscular junction that a motor neuron is able to transmit a signal to the muscle fiber, causing muscle contraction.
