2. We have organised a free langar (refreshment) on 7th Jan, 2014 on occasion of birthday of 10th Sikh Guru Sh. Guru Govind Singh ji at our office. Tea, sweets & bread pakoras were distributed to the general public majority of them were work force of the industries based in industrial area phase-II, Chandigarh.
The preparation for the langar started early in the morning so that the distribution could be started by 10:30 AM. Fresh & hot bread pakoras with tea on a day when there is biting chill in the weather, makes one feel warmer.
The program started on its scheduled time (10:30am) and continued upto 2:00pm. People came in huge numbers in lines from early in the morning without any discrimination of post and position. Mr. Pawan Mangla along with our staff members managed the distribution properly, without any single instance of mismanagement which was appreciated by the industrialists & traders of the vicinity.
It was just a small efforts to spread the teachings of the gurus (equality between all people regardless of religion, caste, colour, creed, age, gender or social status).
