3. Roam Select Ordnance Survey Choose Roam, to view and print maps

5. Search
Search for a location by place name, postcode, grid reference, coordinates or by clicking on the map

6. Navigation Zoom slider Use to zoom in/out Zoom to area
- Use to click and drag on the map

Click and drag the map
Click the relevant arrow to pan the map in that direction.

7. List of layers for ‘Detailed view’ map
Map Content
The Map Content tab on the left of the map can be used to turn the different layers of the map on and off at some scales and for some products.
Example: you may want to make a map showing only the roads and buildings
Simply uncheck the boxes next to any unwanted layers.

8. Map Information
Map Information enables you to view details about the current map. Panning and zooming will change the information shown.

Toolbar appears at the top of the screen – can be moved around
Main options to add annotations in the Draw & Create area:
Add symbols, text, lines, polygons, pre-defined shapes
Annotations remain on your map at the same scale as you zoom
Annotations appear on your print maps
