13 Let’s check the reading.
We will read one sentence at a time. I’ll write the words on the board. We’ll pick the best answer.

14 Read the completed reading
Read the full reading on your own. Raise your hand for any vocabulary or pronunciation questions Answer the questions on the back of the reading. Do this by yourself! Then check your answers with a partner. Anything you’re not sure about, ask me!

15 Prepare Presentation In your presentation group, practice the reading.
Think about: body language Eye contact Volume tone

16 Tone Most of you sound like robots when practicing reading.
Intonation and inflection are important! (굴절 & 인토네이션)

17 Everyone up front! We are going to do some tonal exercises.
We will do the reading one sentence at a time Read it with a sad voice Read it with a happy voice Read it with an angry voice Read it with an enthusiastic voice Try to read it with a normal voice with good intonation!

18 Quiz! You know the drill. Finish the quiz. You will get points for it.
After you are finished, give it to me!

19 Homework Reports Please pass me up one copy of your reports with the websites or printed web pages. In your groups, I want you to look at your reports together. Take turns reading it aloud. Does it sound good? Can your partners help it sound better or add more information?

20 Body For each part in the Body – you should make a statement and support it with facts and opinions. You might separate your body into different festivals (if you have a theme). You might separate your festival into different parts (Day 1, Day 2, Day 3) (Morning, afternoon, Night), (Different countries that celebrate)

21 Look at your information
Most of your information will go in the body Where should it go? What other information should you add to make your report interesting?

22 In groups – Outlines Create a basic outline for your presentation
Leave space to add more information Your outline can change later Add your ideas from your hw to your outline How long do you think your presentation will be with your current information?

23 Homework Take your group’s outline home Work on it! Add to it!
