4. Geography T-Shirt Contest Version 1: “Just Wear It!”
“Quick & Easy”Can be done in ONE classroom OR campus-wide
Designate one day during GAWeek as Geography T-shirt Day
Encourage BOTH students & staff to wear a shirt with a
Geographic location or feature on the front/back of their shirt
Give each contestant a T-shirt Contest Entry Form (check the AZ Geographic Alliance website: )
Allow access to maps or atlases to assist contestants with filling in the Entry Form. (Optional: Have contestants place sticky dots that match with their Tshirt’s location on a world map.)
Contestants turn in completed forms to be drawn for GeoPrizes

6. Geography T-Shirt Contest Version 2: “T-shirt Selfie”
Can be done in ONE classroom OR campus-wide
Encourage BOTH students & staff to take a selfie of them wearing a T-shirt with a Geographic location or feature on the front of the shirt
Designate an address or photo app link to send “selfies”
Designate a time frame during which you will accept “selfies”
Teacher or Class can decide “how to” choose the “T-shirt Selfie” winner/s (voting or judges or categories)
