Alexios Konstantinos: first names.
Both very Greek (notice the “-os” ending).
“Alexios” was chosen freely, “Konstantinos” is my grandfather’s name.
Balatsoukas Stimming: last names.
One Greek one German.

3. Education & Experience
2010: Diploma in Electronics and Computer Engineering (ECE), Technical University of Crete (TUC), Greece.
2010: MSc in ECE, TUC.
2016: PhD in Computer and Communications Sciences, EPFL, Switzerland.
2015: Internship at Intel Labs in Hillsboro, Oregon.
Expertise:
Signal processing for communications.
Digital hardware design.

4. Me at CERN Joined TE-MPE-MI on February 1st, 2017 as a Fellow.
Working on the beam interlock system (BIS).
Two main goals for my work:
Participate in the installation and testing of a modernized version of the BIS.
Investigate various options for a long-term upgrade of the BIS, mainly on the communications and signal processing side.
