BW: What is an aboriginal? What characteristics would you expect their music to exhibit? Use evidence from the text to support your answer.

2. Listening Activity: Aboriginal Music
Music – “Brolga” – Arrama, Mungayana
Describe in detail the musical characteristics you hear.
Listen to the first brolga song. On paper, graph the song’s melodic contour (how the pitches go up and down). Under the graph, find a way to visually represent the clapstick part. Also, add signs to show where the didgeridoo player plays the high-pitched “hoot.”
Follow the same process for the second song, using a different color pencil.
