Tornadoes: found at cold fronts where cP and mT air masses meet; SAFETY: go to basement or storm shelter; keep away from windows; lie on floor face down at interior part of home. Thunderstorms: found at cold fronts where mT and cP air masses meet, lightening, heavy downpour rain; keep away from water, do not touch metal; SAFETY: go into a shelter/home, car (keep dry); lie on ground (in a low depression). Lightening usually strikes wet, tallest objects.
