They can do so much as rip your house out of the ground. They can also flip over your car. They can uproot trees and throw them all over. Little bit of advice STAY AWAY FROM TORNADOES!!!!

3 Fujita Scale F0-Wind speeds from 40-72 mph-29%-Minimal damage.
F1-Winds speeds from mph-40%-Moderate damage. F2-Winds speeds from mph-24%-Major damage. F3-Wind speeds from mph-6%-Severe damage. F4-Wind speeds from mph-2%-Devastating damage. F5-Wind speeds from mph-less than 1%-Incredible damage

4 How Long Do Tornados Last?
They can last lengths from just a couple seconds to many hours. Its all based on the Thunderstorm that starts it. It also depends on the size of the eye of the tornado when it starts. Strong tornadoes can cut a path of destruction 9 miles long and 200 yards wide. Weak tornadoes cut a path of damage less than 3 miles long and usually less than 50 yards wide. Violent tornadoes cause the biggest path of destruction. They cut paths of chaos about 26 miles long and 425 yards wide. A few violent tornadoes have been over 100 miles long and 1 mile wide.

5 Fun Facts Texas gets the most tornadoes with an average of around 110 tornadoes a year. United States has the highest frequency of tornadoes. Each year there are about 1,200 tornadoes in the U.S.A. The F-Scale was developed in the early 1970’s by T. Theodore Fujita
