2 Applying Typography Try to draw “ART” exactly as it looks above.
Objective: You will review how to utilize guidelines in order to reproduce a lettering style. DRILL: You may want an iPAD. Take the small sheet from corner of table that says “ART”. Try to draw “ART” exactly as it looks above. Today we will learn the art of drawing letters in preparation for your folder cover. If you want to quickly watercolor the backgrounds of 2 pages, you can. We will glue the lessons in our sketchbooks.

Typography Get a sheet at the corner of your table. Objective: You will define and apply various lettering styles in order to create a more challenging type set. DRILL: What is typography? Where do you see typography and art mixed? What examples? WAIT TO DRAW THE LETTERS WITH THE DEMONSTRATION.

Create a border design. Must have some repetition. Art in a circle. Image from a reference photo. Fill the space.

What is typography? Typography is the art of print. TYPOGRAPHY IS A Lettering style or font. “Typography refers to the arrangement of text on a page, and appears in some form or another in all instances of written communication.”

Serif- Is a detail at the beginning or end of a letter. Script- Text that is written in cursive. abcd Sans Serif- French word sans means WITHOUT a serif. Abcd abcd abcd
