1. Stedy Mobilization Device
Criteria for Use:
Patient is able to balance in a sitting position with minimal assist
Patient is able to bear weight on legs
Patient is under 265 lb limit
Position Stedy device and have patient’s feet on platform
Position knees against knee blockade
LOCK STEDY in place
Have patient stand. Having hand on top bar (as shown) may assist sit to stand
To turn the Stedy, position yourself at the side of the patient to prevent twisting your body (Not in front)
Position stedy over bed/chair/toilet
Lock the Stedy in place
Have patient stand
Lift up seat using care to not scrap buttocks
Assist patient to seated position
Lower seat pads to allow patient to sit during transfer. Use care to not scrap buttocks
Clean after each patient use with:
Steris (red top) wipes.
Bleach wipes with Contact Plus Precautions patients
