2. Sanctified
Means: to set apart.
To set apart to serve the true and living God.

3. God Stresses Sanctification
Sanctified by His Word.
Sanctified by the blood of Jesus.
Sanctified by His Spirit.
Sanctified by the choices we make.

4. I. Rely on God
Lord/Jehovah: This is the covenant name of God. The one who keeps His promises.
El/Elohim: name of the great supreme being.
“im” ending indicates a plural form.
The plural form appears with a singular verb.

5. Verses
Gen 1:1 . In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
John 1:1 . In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

6. Courage: means behaving bravely in spite of your fear.
II. Be Courageous
Courage: means behaving bravely in spite of your fear.
Be courageous:
When friends lead the wrong way.
When society opposes God’s way.
When your flesh tempts you to disobey.

8. III. Cleave to God
Gen 2:24 “For this cause a man shall leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave to his wife; and they shall become one flesh.”
Definition: to cling to, to adhere, to follow.
Meaning: a single-minded dedication to.

9. New Testament Form
1 Th 5:21 But examine everything carefully; hold fast to that which is good;
2 Tim 1:13 Retain the standard of sound words which you have heard from me, in the faith and love which are in Christ Jesus.
Single-mindedness.

10. IV. Love God To disregard God is to not love God.
To leave God for another god, is to not love God.
To love means to give Him the supreme place in your heart and mind.
