Bike and Transit Connections
By: Corrie Adams, Nathan Howard, Ryan Miller, and Jia Yuan Presentation (20% of Team Project Grade) You will give a ten-minute presentation (followed by 5 minutes for questions and discussion) on March 14th. Presentation times will be modified slightly depending on group sizes. Your presentations should include: · Background information (description of problem, conceptual model, etc) and your research question (5 points) · A brief ‘methods’ section providing an overview of the data and analysis (5 points) · Your results (4 points) · A discussion of your results and their policy implications/your suggestions to the agency. You should also discuss the limitations of your study, the assumptions you made, and other relevant points. (6 points)

Background - Problem Low use of biking to connect to transit systems
Lack of data analysis identifying bicycle and transit connections Background information (description of problem, conceptual model, etc) and your research question (5 points)
3
Background - Scope Novice Riders
Central lightlink rail north extension UW Station to Northgate Background information (description of problem, conceptual model, etc) and your research question (5 points)
4
Background - Goal Identify the maximum distance novice riders could bike the distance within 5-10 minutes Allow SDOT to: Identify areas of insufficient bike connections Prioritize stations with the most potential riders Background information (description of problem, conceptual model, etc) and your research question (5 points)
