The only thing more difficult than getting the church to go into the community is … … getting the community to come into the church.

As difficult as it is for the church to engage the community with words and works of love and grace, … it is exponentially more difficult to try to entice the community into the church.

In 2006, Thom Rainer discovered, “In a recent survey of churches across America, we found that 95% of the churches’ ministries were for members alone.” “Indeed, many churches had no ministries for those outside the congregation.”
