The Simple Present is used in these situations: General statements of facts. E.g.: I attend City College. He attends City College. Opinions. E.g.: I like my classes. He doesn’t like his classes. M. A. Adam

followed Regular Events, Habits, or Routines: E.g.:- I always go to the City College in the morning. I have classes everyday from 9 :00 to 3:00. He has classes two days a week. M. A. Adam

3 Frequency Adverbs: Adverbs and expressions of time or frequency such as:- ● always ● often ● every day ●usually ● in general ● rarely ● frequently ● almost never ●never often appear with the simple present tense. M. A. Adam

4 The verb Be Affirmative Statements: Negative Statements Long forms:
I am a teacher I am not a teacher. He is in the college He is not in the college. We are in the library They are not in the library. M.A. Adam

5 Affirmative Statements: Negative Statements: I’m here. I’m not here
followed Contracted Forms: Affirmative Statements: Negative Statements: I’m here I’m not here She’s here He’s not here. We’re in the library They aren’t in the library. M. A. Adam
